Why is Abortion so CONTROVERSIAL?!
The reason abortion is so controversial is because there are two sides of the debate:
Pro-Life:
Pro-Life believes in having the baby, and not killing the foetus. They believe the baby in there has feelings and rights and they feel that many women will regret terminating the baby later on in life as it is not something you can reverse. Furthermore, Pro-Life also supports the need of the father. Because what if the man wanted to keep the baby? At this point, the man has no say as the abortion can be done if the woman chooses to do it.
Pro-Choice:
Pro-Choice believes that it's a woman's body, therefore, it's the woman's choice. The foetus can't feel anything as it is so small (the size of a pea). Furthermore, Pro-Choice believes abortion can also benefit the community as crime rates have reduced since abortions have been made more readily available. Finally, Pro-Choice looks more into How the Woman got pregnant, ie, ineffective contraceptions and rape, and how the mother may be unfit for pregnancy or is just unprepared.
